I thought I would bring your attention to The Douglas Gresham Interviews, for those who would like a more full presentation of just what Lewis was like according to someone who knew him in a very intimate way. Joy Davidman Gresham’s mother who wife died of cancer in 1960. Lewis continued to raise Douglas (referred to numerous times in the interviews above,) and his elder brother David. (Lewis had adopted the boys when he married, and The Horse and His Boy is dedicated to them both).
